How do you do the splattery light effect? Is that a specific filter or brush?

all the effect and textures are made by myself with ink splattered and scanned and papers and watercolor layer :)

You mean, you splatter physical ink on the original drawing and then change the colour in Photoshop?

no, i've done the splatter ink (and the watercolor textures) separately and i've putted on the illustration it with photoshop :)

the advice that i can give to you, is to create your own folder with a library of high resolution textures to use on your illustrations... actually my folder have almost 10 gb of textures (handmade or founded on the web)
